How to Change the IP Address on Your Computer
Changing your computer's IP address can help you solve network connection problems or achieve a specific network configuration. Here are some simple steps to guide you on how to change your computer's IP address on the Windows operating system.
Step 1: Open Network Settings
- Find the network connection icon in the Windows taskbar, right-click and select "Open Network and Internet Settings".
- In the "Settings" window, select "Change adapter options".
- In the "Network Connections" window, find the network connection you are currently using, right-click and select "Properties".
Step 2: Change IPv4 Settings
- In the "Network Connection Properties" window, find "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)", select it and click "Properties".

- Enter the "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" commands in the command prompt to release and renew the IP address to ensure that the changes are effective.
